    COUNSELING HAS BEEN TABOO FOR TOO LONG IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY

    Many of our social scientists and scholars have spoken to the need for healing after undergoing the worst acts of slavery, peonage, sharecropping, Jim Crow, The Prison Industrial Complex, and the stripping and constant attack on our culture, history, and the family unit.

    As a result, our ancestors endured much trauma, which has been passed down generationally; hence, we have generational trauma. Generational trauma’s symptomology is evidenced in the breakdown in our families and communities in the present day.

    We specialize in individual, group, and family counseling for African Americans and others of African descent.

    Sliding Scale Fee for Individual Counseling

    The office billing rate is $175 for the initial assessment visit and $150 for each subsequent visit. The following sliding scale is offered for those who may choose to self-pay or do not have insurance.

    Gross Household Income of $70,000 and below 1st visit $65 Subsequent visits $60

    Gross Household Income of $70,000 – $80,000 1st visit $75 Subsequent visits $70

    Gross Household Income of $80,000 – $90,000 1st visit $85 Subsequent visits $80

    Gross Household Income of $90,000 – $100,000 1st visit $95 Subsequent visits $90

    Gross Household Income of $100,000 – $110,000 1st visit $105 Subsequent visits $100

    Gross Household Income of $110,000 – $120,000 1st visit $115 Subsequent visits $110

    Gross Household Income of $120,000 and Above 1st visit $125 Subsequent visits $120
