Dr. Dennis "Ausar" Winkler Jr.

Founder and Visionary

Dr. Dennis ‘Ausar’ Winkler Jr., Ph.D., LCPC, NCC, was born on January 22, 1979, in Baltimore, MD. He is married to Camele Winkler, who he has been with since his 9th-grade high school year. Dennis and Camele are the proud parents of their two sons, Dennis Winkler III and Jamil Winkler.

 

Dr. Winkler has attended several higher learning institutions, including the African-centered school Sojourner-Douglass College where he graduated honors (magna cum laude) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Administration, with a concentration in Business Administration. He completed a Master’s of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Spirituality and Psychology at Loyola University in Maryland. 

 

Dr. Winkler has a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision from Waynesburg University. 

Dr. Winkler has been an entrepreneur since he was a teenager.  He has owned and operated several businesses, including a truck rental business, a satellite communications installation company, and a real estate investment company. He has hired hundreds of people throughout his years as an entrepreneur. 

 

Dr. Winkler is an entrepreneur, social scientist, assistant professor of counseling, psychotherapist, business consultant, and scholar-activist; who has served his community all of his adult life. He has lectured at countless seminars, workshops, and private sessions. He has been a servant to many individuals, groups, couples, families, and organizations in the progressive development of the traditionally overlooked and disenfranchised, namely the African American (Black Community). Dr. Winkler’s mission is to equip individuals and families with the necessary tools to build stronger family units and communities.

TNAT Holistic Wellness Center has a unique approach to healing. We believe that you can know yourself at a deeper level and consequently have a more happy and fulfilled life. Our understanding and experience suggest that healing or wholeness is accomplished by integration or, in other words bringing the mind, body, and spirit into harmony. 

We are a community-focused organization that offers mental health counseling, meditation, chi gong, martial arts, drumming circles, African dance, massage therapy, and much more.
